- Soy sauce
- Optional: Chilli sauce
- Add 2 handfuls of Sesame, and 1 handful each of Sunflower and Pumpkin seeds to a wok.
- Roast over a low flame for 4-6 minutes (until the sesames start ‘leaping’).
- Turn off the heat and add a reasonable amount of Soy sauce (and chilli sauce if you want a hot kick) — keep stirring until the liquid has evaporated.
- Also try adding Linseeds, Poppy seeds (any seeds really) as well as Pine nuts and Cashews. If using Cashews, add them last of all as they are prone to burning.
These will keep for weeks in a sealed airtight container (though eat sooner if using pine nuts) and can be added to most salads, soups and other savoury meals. Eating more seeds is awesome for a healthy digestive system and quality protein intake.
